International Visitor Process
Thank you for your interest in attending BUILDEX Alberta 2026. Due to the number of applications that we receive, we cannot work with applicants on a personal basis. Please do not email the show for requests to expedite visa requests.

Please follow the steps below to come to Alberta for BUILDEX Alberta

• During registration, please provide proof of your company’s business in design, construction, or real estate management. Proof should include your position as an employee or owner, for example by providing a link to your business website, LinkedIn profile, and / or Facebook business page.
  
  
• If your business does not have an online presence, email supplemental proof of business documents to the BUILDEXSHOWS@informa.com with your registration confirmation number to help us verify your registration.
  
  
• Within 10 business days (Monday to Friday) the BUILDEX will verify your registration and issue a visa letter. If BUILDEX is unable to verify your business, the registration will be cancelled and refund a will be processed to the original payment method within 10 business days.
  
  
• Due to privacy laws in Canada, BUILDEX cannot accept personal documents - do not send passport copies to us.
  
  
• If your visa processing and delivery timeline requires more than 6 weeks, BUILDEX advises international guests not register after September 9th 2026
  
  
• International registration closes on 7th October, 2026, and visa letters will not be issued after this day.
  
  
• BUILDEX does not assume any financial, legal, or other type of responsibility for any person during their attendance at this event.

• Please note, BUILDEX will not alter the visa letter as it is not required by the Canadian government for issuing a Business Visa Letter. Fees & Cancellations:
All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Informa Canada Inc. will appear on your credit card statement.

You may transfer your registration in accordance with the following cancellation policy;

• All passes are non-refundable.
• In the case that a delegate will not be able to use their purchased pass, the delegate may elect to find a replacement to utilize the pass and must notify BUILDEX via email to transfer the pass information over to the new delegate. The deadline for transfer requests is 21st September 2026
• Transfer requests MUST be emailed to buildexshows@informa.com
• Transfers will only be permitted if a request is submitted to buildexshows@informa.com in advance of the event. Delegate registrations are issued for individual use only and cannot be shared with any person during the event.
• You may not purchase passes as an agent for any third party, sell or otherwise transfer your pass to others, or exploit the registration commercially or non-commercially in any way.
• Please note that the conference program is subject to change, including programming cancellations and scheduling. BUILDEX is not responsible and refunds will not be provided under these circumstances. Please check the website for the most up-to-date scheduling.
• Payment of registration confirms that you have read, understand, agree and will comply with the published registration cancellation and transfer policy.

Show management reserves the right to refuse registration(s).

Attendance of Non-Exhibiting Suppliers:

BUILDEX attendance is designed for the employees or representatives of companies who are potential buyers or specifiers of our sponsors and exhibitors’ products or services. Our attendees are not permitted to engage in any selling activity while visiting the show.

NO solicitation is permitted by companies who are not the current year’s sponsors or exhibitors. Show management reserves the right to remove anyone from the event who is found or reported to be soliciting without prior permission from show management.

Representatives from any non-exhibiting brands, manufacturers, suppliers, reps, or others affiliated with our industries who are not intending to buy, research or specify products and services, will be considered Non-Exhibiting Suppliers. Non-Exhibiting Suppliers may register and attend BUILDEX though the Non-Exhibiting Supplier Pass (NES Pass) (max 2 per company). 

If it is discovered that a Non-Exhibiting Supplier has registered without being correctly identified as a Non-Exhibiting Supplier, show management reserves the right to either apply the NES registration fee or cancel the registration record without warning. 

Health & Safety:

Informa and BUILDEX Alberta care strongly about our network of exhibitors, colleagues and industry communities. It is our top priority to ensure our events will be organized in accordance with official government and local authority guidelines, as well as any venue or location specific regulations. We continue to monitor any changes in the regulations and items will be amended to ensure continued compliance of said regulations.

Please note that all restrictions and requirements are subject to change at any time to best protect the health and safety of all its audiences in accordance with government guidelines and legal allowances.

The expo hall floor is intended to be a professional Business-to-Business environment and includes live onsite demos, often involving heavy machinery - for safety reasons we highly recommend that children do not attend.

You may be the subject of still photography or videography which is used by Informa Connect for purposes of promoting future events. By attending, you agree to grant Informa Connect the use of these materials for such purposes.

Please note that the recording (video and / or audio) of speakers and presentations at BUILDEX Alberta is prohibited – we thank you for your understanding.

In Person Privacy Policy:

On choosing to allow your badge to be scanned by an exhibitor or sponsor, you are providing the exhibitor or sponsor with personal information and in doing so you agree to the exhibitor or sponsor contacting you in the future about their products or services. You understand that you can opt-out of this contact at any time by contacting the exhibitor or sponsor. Badges cannot be read remotely and must be scanned before any details are shared with exhibitors and sponsors.

If you opt-in to receive communications from sponsors, including sponsored seminars you register for, you agree to the sponsor contacting you by email about their products or services. You understand that you can opt-out of this email contact at any time by unsubscribing from their communications or by notifying the sponsor directly.

You understand that your badge may be scanned on entry/exit to BUILDEX Alberta and used in relation to event safety/security and that the event organiser may use this information in aggregate form to analyse/improve the visitor experience. Scanning at entry/exit is not associated with third party marketing consent choices that you may make.
