HEALTH AND SAFETY

The OAFC Event Team has been working hard to ensure your safety at any OAFC event in 2022. Your safety is our number one priority.  The safety measures that we will be taking are outlined below and will be updated using guidance and advice from the province of Ontario as new information and safety precautions develop.

FACE COVERINGS

Guests may wear to face coverings in hotel public spaces, corridors, and elevators if they so choose.

SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES & CONTACTLESS EXPERIENCE

• There will be signage reminding guests to maintain social distancing as well as floor decals to manage queuing areas.
• Buffets will be replaced with a variety of 'grab and go' contactless food and beverage options.
• Redesigned food and beverage station set-ups to include protective barriers.
• Increased distance between furniture and managing queueing areas.
• Hand sanitizing stations added throughout - especially in high-traffic areas.

COMMITMENT TO CLEAN 

ENHANCED CLEANING PROTOCOLS 

• As part of the International Centre's enhanced cleaning protocols, they have procured hospital grade disinfectants, scrubbing machines, and electrostatic sprayers that will be used throughout the facility on a frequent basis.
• Special attention and increased frequency will be given to cleaning and sanitizing of all high-touch point areas including countertops, tables, chairs, faucet handles, doorknobs, light switches, railings, toilets and elevator buttons.
• They have implemented additional staffing and hours dedicated to the daily deep cleaning and sanitization in all common areas of our facility.  

CANCELLATION

Please ensure the information you enter and email addresse is for the person attending the event.  If you are registering on behalf of someone else, there is a Secondary Contact field that you can enter your email address to receive a copy of the registration receipt.  Please note once you register, there are no refunds.

The conference is open to senior officers in the fire service, senior municipal staff, officers in private fire departments, sponsors of the trade show or conference.

Cancellation Policy: NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED FOR ATTENDEE CANCELLATIONS.  Substitutions are permitted.

Please choose your options carefully as registrations paid via credit card through this website that are not entered correctly, could result in an administrative penalty fee ($25).

Event Registration Policy: The Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs (OAFC) holds regular annual events for purposes of education and networking.  The conference is open to senior officers in the fire service, senior municipal staff, officers in private fire departments, sponsors of the trade show or conference.

Please note that all in the fire service are welcome to attend the OAFC 2022 Trade Show.  OAFC 2022 FREE Trade Show Pass is for May 6 & 7, 2022 only and for the named member only.

There are no solicitations allowed at the Conference or on the Trade Show floor.  The OAFC has a registration function on this website.  Users of the registration function agree that, subject to the Privacy Policy posted on this website, their information can be used to contact them in connection with the event and any other contact deemed necessary for running its events, subject to the laws governing sound internet practices.  By using the registration functions on this website, users acknowledge that the OAFC reserves the right to cancel the event, change the platform, time and date of the event with reasonable notice and offer reasonable alternatives, including refunds where applicable. Cancellation of an event caused by any calamity, attack, or act of God, beyond the control of the OAFC and its agents does not constitute grounds for a refund. It is the user's responsibility to abide by the cancellation policy of each event.  The OAFC and/or it's third party affiliates reserve the right to refuse to register any individual from attending an OAFC and/or a third party affiliates event for any reason, and is under no obligation to provide justification for such a decision. Payments in relation to events are processed by Moneris - a third-party service provider. The OAFC and any third party affiliate assumes no liability for those using the registration function or payment function, and the user accepts that any dispute with regard to payment or distribution or use of information collected by Moneris - the payment service provider - will be raised directly with them.

I understand that my credit card statement will show this transaction as "ONT ASSOC OF FIRE CHIEFS" and I will ensure that anyone who reviews the statement is aware of the transaction.
