Attendee Terms and Conditions

Definitions

“Attendee” means an individual who purchased a Ticket, or an individual for whom a Ticket was purchased by a registrant, who attends the Expo, either virtually or in person, and does not include an Exhibitor or a Sponsor;

“Canadian Aesthetics Expo”: means the exposition scheduled for September 16-18, 2022 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre;

“CAMA” means the Canadian Association of Medical Aesthetics

“Expo” means the Canadian Aesthetics Expo;

“Registrant” means a person who registers either as an Attendee or for an Attendee to attend the Expo;

“Ticket” means a purchased right to participate in the Expo, whether in person or virtually;

“you” means an attendee or registrant;

Attendance:

Unless an Attendee requests otherwise in writing, CAMA and the Expo may contact you with promotions via e-mail, direct mail and/or telephone. If you do not wish to receive such communications, contact info@canadianaestheticsexpo.com The Expo will use personally identifiable information provided to it in accordance with the policies published on the Expo website.

By Registering for the Expo, you agree to receive email updates regarding the Canadian Aesthetics Expo event, as well as communications regarding the next expo, scheduled for 2023. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time by emailing info@canadianaestheticsexpo.com.

CME certificates will be e-mailed to the email address that you have registered post-event. Be sure the proper email address is entered above to ensure your certificate is received.

As a condition to the purchase of a Ticket the Expo and in order to enter the Expo, the Attendee understands and agrees that Expo staff may conduct searches and examinations of the Attendee and any property of the Attendee to ensure safety and security at the Expo, and the Attendee waives any claims related to such searches. If the Attendee does not consent to such searches and examinations, the Attendee may be denied entry to the Expo, without refund or other compensation.

COVID-19

Attendees must abide by the COVID-19 Canadian Aesthetics Expo Attendee Information and Requirements (at CanadianAestheticsExpo.com ). If an Attendee chooses not to follow the COVID Attendee Information and Requirements, the Expo shall refuse admission to the Attendee, without a refund or any appeal of the refusal.

An Attendee may be screened for compliance with Expo COVID-19 protocols, including vaccination requirements. The Expo reserves the right to refuse entry to an Attendee who does not comply with the COVID-19 protocols, without refund or other compensation.

By registering and attending an Expo event, you acknowledge that there is an unknown risk of exposure to COVID-19 through potential contact with contaminated objects, as well as through personal contact. Such exposure carries with it a certain degree of risk that could result in illness, disability, or death. Although the Expo has adopted appropriate and reasonable policies and measures in an attempt to mitigate this risk, the registrant/attendee understands that no level of precaution can entirely remove such risk. You agree to release and hold harmless the CAMA and the Expo, its employees, and vendors from and against all claims of damages and liability resulting from any exposure related to COVID-19. Registrants/attendees also warrant they are abiding by all applicable provincial and local laws and recommendations currently in place regarding COVID-19.

Fees

All registration fees are in CAD dollars. Registration requests will NOT be processed without payment in full.

Intellectual Property

Attendees, Ticket holders and Registrants have no reasonable expectation of any right to privacy in relation to the Expo.

Registration and/or attendance at or participation in the Expo constitutes consent by the Attendee, Ticket holder or Registrant to the use of quotations by the Attendee, Ticket holder or Registrant; as well as the taking of recordings, photographs, portrayals, movies or videos (Media) which may contain the Attendee, Ticket holder or Registrant, and hereby grant CAMA and the Expo the right to edit, use, distribute and reuse said Media for marketing purposes, including use in print, on the internet, and all other forms of social and other media, all without compensation to the Attendee, Ticket holder or Registrant, who waive any rights, including moral rights, they may have in their likeness or the Media.

Recordings, photography and videography of the Expo, or anything related to the Expo, by any Attendee, Ticket holder or Registrant is strictly prohibited (Expo Media). The Attendee, Ticket holder or Registrant agrees not to transmit or distribute any Expo Media.

A professional photographer will capture the event (the Expo Recording) and Attendee may request copies of the Expo Recording from the Expo on reasonable terms to be determined. All Tickets provide the holder with online access to the Expo Recording for 1 month after the conclusion of the Expo.

The Expo is the sole owner of any Media, Expo Media and Expo Recording, including all Intellectual Property rights, such as copyright and other proprietary rights, and grants to the Expo an unrestricted right and license to create the Media, Expo Media and Expo Recording by any means and to use and distribute the Media, Expo Media and Expo Recording for any purpose, including a commercial purpose, without permission from any Attendee, Ticket holder or Registrant.

It is anticipated that the Expo will feature a number of entities, such as exhibitors and sponsors, who will own certain Intellectual Property rights, such as copyright and other proprietary rights (e.g. patent rights; trademark rights; etc). Attendees must respect these Intellectual Property rights. Any violation of these Intellectual Property rights will render the violator subject to expulsion from the Expo; in addition to any other remedies pursued by the Expo and/or the holders of the said Intellectual Property rights.

Cancellation Policy

Once a Ticket is purchased under the name of an Attendee, a badge will be issued to the Attendee and cannot be transferred to another person, nor cancelled, except in compliance with the cancellation policy below:

No refunds will be granted; all sales are final. However, in cases of emergency that prevent you from attending the event (as determined solely by the Expo), you may be credited the amount of your registration. This credit can be used toward any future Canadian Aesthetics Expo or CAMA hosted event within one year of the date of the original registered event.

However, in the event the Expo cancels the Expo, or the Expo experiences a Force Majeure event (as defined herein), the Expo may, at its sole discretion, issue refunds or credits to an Attendee.

Any ticket credit or refund request must be made in writing and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Please email your request to info@canadianaestheticsexpo.com.

Program Modification

The Expo will endeavour to confirm speakers, exhibitions and sessions as soon as possible and hopefully by when the Expo website is active. However, circumstances may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations of all or part of the Expo, including any speakers, exhibitions and sessions, at any time, including before and during the Expo.

As such, the Expo reserves the right to alter or modify all or part of the Expo, including any of the advertised speakers, exhibitors and sessions, as well as the associated times, if necessary, without notice to the Attendees or liability to the Expo or CAMA.

Any substitutions or alterations will be updated on the Expo website in due course.

Limitation of liability

The Expo shall assume no liability whatsoever in the event the Expo is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed or changed into another format as a result of a "Force Majeure" event. Force Majeure events shall include, but not be limited to, pandemics; COVID-19 and any variants; general and labour strikes; invasions hostilities; war; rioting or similar situations; insurrections; health or other Federal, Provincial or Municipal emergencies; acts of government or state, such as lockdown and quarantine measures; immigration restrictions; transportation restrictions; on-site restrictions; and acts of nature, such as fires, floods, extreme weather or other emergencies; all as determined solely by the Expo.

If the Expo must be rescheduled or postponed as a result of a Force Majeure event, Attendee registration will remain in place and Attendees will be entitled to attend the rescheduled or postponed Expo, without any right to a refund.

The Expo shall assume no obligation to refund any travel or accommodation expenses incurred by the Attendee in case the event is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed as a result of a Force Majeure event.

If the participant is not able to attend the Expo as a result of a Force Majeure event, general cancellation policies rules as set herein will apply

If the Expo format changes from a hybrid (onsite & online) to a virtual (online only) format, an Attendee’s Ticket will be automatically changed to permit a virtual attendance.

CAMA, the Expo and their agents, employees, directors, officers, heirs, executors, and administrators (the Expo Parties), assume no liability whatsoever for any and all actions, proceedings, complaints, demands, damages, losses, costs, interest, loss and injury of every nature and kind whatsoever, howsoever arising, whether now known or unknown, which an Attendee, Ticket Holder and Registrant had, now has, or may hereafter have against the Expo Parties, arising from, connected with and/or relating in any way to the Expo.

The Attendee, Ticket Holder and Registrant assumes all risks related to attendance at the Expo, whether in person or virtually, including the risk of death, illness, injury, damage or loss of property, arising from the Expo, from any cause whatsoever, whether foreseeable or not and whether occurring prior to, during or after the Expo, and the Attendee, Ticket Holder and Registrant hereby waives any and all claims against the Expo Parties related to such assumed risks.

Governing Law

The construction, validity and performance of these Attendee Terms and Conditions are exclusively governed by the laws of Canada and the Province of Ontario, without reference or regard to principles of Conflict of Laws. By purchasing a Ticket, all Attendees, Ticket Holders and Registrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Ontario located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Additional Terms and Conditions for Master Classes

Individuals must have purchased a valid 2022 Canadian Aesthetics Expo (3-day pass) in order to register for the Masterclasses.

Prerequisites for Julie Horne’s Master Class

Individuals who enroll in Julie Horne’s “Beautification Lip Technique” Masterclass will be trained in Ms. Horne’s unique technique and may use that unique technique to treat patients in their clinical practises. However, such individuals may not use Ms. Horne’s technique to train people and may not advertise that they can, or will, train people on Ms. Horne’s unique technique.

Prerequisites for Shino Bay Master Class

Individuals who enroll in the master class for Shino Bay must have two years of injecting experience with Sculptra.

Prerequisites for Nicola Lowrey Master Class

Individuals who enroll in the master class for Nicola Lowrey's “Pan Facial Rejuvenation with Juvederm” must have two years of injecting experience as a prerequisite to enroll in the course.
