Position: Sales Representative
If you want to be part of a
growing market, love selling and possess limitless self-initiative,
then we are looking for you! MicroSpec is a Toronto-based company that
provides registration and ticketing services for many well-known trade
and consumer shows. This position would work exclusively within the
ticketing division – selling to event producers across North America.
Primary
Function:
To call, call, and call again
– we need to tell an industry of leads about our superior product and
service.
Specifically,
our sales representative will…
* Connect with event producers to generate
valuable leads and to develop long-lasting relationships
* Increase revenue among first-time clients in the North American
consumer show industry
* Support our growth into in new markets and/or with new products
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Pursue leads obtained from a variety of
sources: directories, contacts, incoming enquiries
* Prepare proposals detailing services to be provided and associated
costs
* Perform other duties as assigned and deemed necessary of the
position
* Ability to travel occasionally outside the GTA
Qualifications:
* 2 to 5 years direct sales experience
selling services via telephone
* Proficient in lead generation, fact-finding and closing the sale
* Proven and consistent achievement/over-achievement of sales quotas
* Excellent communicator both written and oral who is able to
articulate technical features
* High level of accountability and experience working independently
* Exceptional organizational skill and detail orientation
* Proficiency in standard software applications such as Word, Excel
and PowerPoint is required; knowledge of one or more sales management
software packages is an asset
* Knowledge of the consumer event and/or trade show industry is an
asset
